Overview

Prerequisites

To install Quantum Helix, you will require:

• A supported installation target; see Installation Requirements.

  In particular, this means you need a Kubernetes cluster up and running, with a supported CNI installed and functioning.

• QHx Customer Login credentials for retrieving the QHx release artifacts;

• An administrator’s machine which you intend to use to install QHx, which must have:

  • the Kubernetes CLI tool, kubectl;
  • the ORAS artifact retrieval tool, oras;
  • the Helm package management tool, helm (if using the Helm-based installation process).

Installing Quantum Helix

The Helm-based installation process is used to install QHx either

1. online (for an internet-connected cluster) or
2. in an air-gapped environment, against an air-gapped OCI registry you control (you are responsible for manually pulling and mirroring the necessary OCI images comprising QHx).
