Installation Requirements
Quantum Helix is designed for use with any standard Kubernetes cluster. It can be deployed onto a Kubernetes cluster as a standard Helm chart. This means that Quantum Helix can be deployed on Kubernetes environments such as:
- Your own self-managed Kubernetes infrastructure, whether on-premises or in the cloud;
- AWS EKS, GCE GKS and Azure AKS;
- Kubernetes-focused operating systems such as Talos Linux.
Your Kubernetes cluster must be functioning correctly, and have a CNI correctly installed. Compatibility with all CNIs is not guaranteed, as Quantum Helix provides a chained CNI which augments the network configuration provided by the base CNI. Currently, Quantum Helix is tested and validated against the following CNIs:
The default QHx configuration also requires a default StorageClass for
persistent Khaled storage.
For installation instructions, start with the recommended QHx CLI guide or use the manual Helm guide for advanced chart control.
